Co-author of the book, LeAndrea Mack says “My daughter came home one day bothered by her friend being bullied. I was prepared to deal with her being bullied and they had plenty of material on what to do if they were bullied but not much on the bystander or witnesses of bullying. She was confused about rather it was ok to feel hurt when watching someone else get bullied and if there was anything she could do to help her friend. That’s how the concept of this book was created.” Co-author Aubree added, “I just think that all girls should know that Diva Girls aren’t bullies and they stand up for themselves. I asked my mom to help me write a book about this because I did not know what to do when I saw it. I hope it helps other little girls!” The first book from the Diva Girl’s Series is called Diva Girl’s and the Chocolate Night. It has a lighter message about listening to your parents but offers wonderful character connections to it’s readers. Each release from the Diva Girl’s Series has taken place at a public library with at comprehensive and interactive book club called “The Junior Royalty Book Club.” This book club is for little girls ages 6-13 and encourages social skills, interactions with their peers, public speaking, etiquette and entrepreneurship.
